All five presidents in its history found liable — and a letter due this month saying the problem is fixed 歴代社長5人全員に賠償責任 — 同じ月に出す「もう直りました」の確認書
Last Friday, Nidec received a report from its officer liability investigation committee. It concludes that all five men who have served as president of the company, founder Shigenobu Nagamori among them, bear liability for damages to the company. Nine current and former officers are covered in total. The board met the same day and said it would weigh legal measures, including damages claims. The report itself will be published later, with trade secrets redacted.
There is a second document, and that one has a deadline. Since October 28 of last year, Nidec has been designated a Security on Alert by the Tokyo Stock Exchange. One year after designation, the company has to file an internal control confirmation letter with the exchange. What that letter says is a self-certification: our internal controls are now in place. It is due at the end of this month.
So Nidec will hand the exchange a document saying it has been fixed, in the same month its own committee found every president in its history liable. The review takes some months, and a decision is expected before the year is out.
This is the company the message boards are stacked with. What people are reading is not the earnings. It is whether a document admitting past responsibility and a document guaranteeing present controls can both stand at once. The stock fell to 1,765 yen on Friday, its low for the year.

別の紙にも期限があります。ニデックは昨年10月28日から特別注意銘柄に指定されています。指定から1年たつと、内部管理体制確認書を東証に出さなければなりません。中身は、社内の管理体制は整いました、という自己申告です。期限は今月末です。
つまりニデックは、歴代の社長全員に責任があると自社の委員会が認定した月に、もう直りましたという書類を取引所に出すことになります。審査には数か月かかり、年内に判断が出るとみられています。
掲示板に書き込みが積み上がっているのはこの会社です。読まれているのは決算ではありません。過去の責任を認める文書と、現在の体制を保証する文書が、同時に成立するのかという一点です。株価は金曜に1,765円まで下げ、年初来の安値をつけました。
