Last month, after the close on the 24th, Data Section, listed on the Tokyo Growth market, disclosed that its large order had taken effect. The contract itself had been announced on the 18th. All that was new that day was a single line saying the money had arrived.
The counterparty is a US-headquartered AI infrastructure provider. Its name is not given. The company says a nondisclosure agreement prevents it. Nvidia introduced the two parties, according to Data Section's own release. The deal covers GPU clusters, and the five-year total is $876 million. Service starts in stages this month.
The contract carried a condition for taking effect: a deposit of $131.4 million had to land. Three quarters of it arrived on the 24th, and the condition fell away. The rest is due within thirty days.
The amount had been public for a week. The stock's three-day run came after the payment was confirmed. What the market was watching was the wire transfer, not the contract. The counterparty still has no name. It is also the ticker with the most posts on Yahoo Finance Japan's boards.
Under Japanese timely disclosure, a company can publish the amount while withholding the customer's name on nondisclosure grounds. If the contract is conditional, it files again once the condition is met. Investors get "how much" and "did it clear," in that order, without ever getting "with whom."

金額は1週間前に出ていました。株価が三日続けて上がったのは、着金が確認されたあとです。市場が見ていたのは契約書ではなく振込です。相手の名前は、いまも出ていません。ヤフーファイナンスの掲示板でいちばん書き込みが多いのも、この会社です。
日本の適時開示では、取引先の名前を秘密保持契約を理由に伏せたまま金額を出せます。条件付きの契約なら、条件が満たされた時点でもう一度開示します。投資家は「誰と」を知らないまま、「いくら」と「入ったか」だけを順番に受け取ります。
